Adult Health Services

The Forsyth County Health Department provides the following services for adults:

• Laboratory work-ups with physician order, including fingersticks for cholesterol, glucose or hemoglobin, venipuncture and lab draws

• Blood pressure checks,

• Therapeutic injections,

• Diabetes screening, Prevention and education

• Nutrition education.

• Hearing, vision and dental screening

• Pregnancy tests

• STD, HIV testing and education

• Tuberculosis skin testing (tests are not administered on Thursdays)

• Monthly Diabetic classes

IMMUNIZATIONS:  

• IPV (Polio)

• Hep A (Hepatitis A) 2 injections in the series

• Hep B (Hepatitis B) 3 injections in the series

• Hep A & B - 3 injections in the series

• Flu

• PCV (Pneumonia)

• TDaP (Tetanus/ Pertussis)

• Td (Tetnaus)

• VZV (Varicella/Chickenpox)

• MCV4 (Meningitis)

• MMR (Mumps, Measles, Rubella)
• Zostrix (Shingles)
