County Health Departments have been serving our communities for more than 100 years.  This mission of the Health Department is to protect and promote health and prevent disease and injury.  Your health is important to us.  You'll find our staff to be well-trained, courteous and committed to caring for the people of Forsyth County. 

EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010 THROUGH AUGUST 15, 2010 PLEASE EXPECT LONGER THAN USUAL WAIT TIMES FOR ALL GENERAL CLINIC SERVICES. This is one of our busiest times of the year. General clinic services such as: immunizations, hearing/vision/dental screenings, pregnancy tests, blood work, college forms, blood pressure checks, etc. are performed on a first-come-first-serve basis and are considered walk-in services. We encourage all patrons requesting any of the above general clinic services to be at the health department at 8:00 am or at 1:00 pm to improve their chances of being seen that day. We apologize in advance for increased wait times. Please feel free to contact us at 770-781-6900 prior to coming to the health department to discuss any documents you may need to bring.

HOURS:
The Forsyth County Health Department is open
Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
We close for lunch daily from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
On the fourth Friday of each month our hours are 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
We have no General Clinic Services (immunizations, screenings for school entrance, blood work, etc) from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the last business day of the month due to inventory.
